As a result of a previous investigation file carried out by this Office, it became aware of allegedly irregular facts in relation to the supply and management of drinking water in the municipality of Vallirana, carried out by a private capital company. On the occasion of the action initiated, it was found that the Town Council indirectly manages, through a private company, approximately 30% of the municipality's potable water supply network (first sector), after a process of municipalisation, while the same private company manages the other 70% of the municipality's water without the existence of any administrative concession. In this second case, we are dealing with a de facto provision of the service that should be regularized by the Town Council. Given the absence of fraudulent or corrupt conduct, it was agreed to file the action. Even so, a communication was sent to the Town Council about the irregularities found.
