Following a report, an investigation has been carried out into the alleged favoritism by the Ullà Town Council towards a person who would have been favored by the awarding of a series of contracts of various nature and with the concession of exclusive use of municipal facilities. Despite the irregularities and dysfunctions brought to light in this investigative action, it has not been possible to infer a risk higher than usual inherent and inherent in the management of public affairs and the making of decisions on public resources. On the contrary, it is detected the awarding of successive minor contracts for the provision of services that the Town Council requires recurrently, although this is not the most suitable mechanism to cover the entity's supply needs, nor the most aligned with the regulations on public procurement to respond to this type of needs. Therefore, the services should have been contracted through bidding procedures that respect the principles of advertising and competition. The Anti-Fraud Office recommends the council to use the aforementioned recruitment procedures.
