What requirements must the reporting person meet to be entitled to protection?

Persons who communicate information on breaches in the areas provided by the Directive have the right to protection provided they meet certain conditions provided by the Directive.

Specifically, they will have the right to protection provided they have reason to believe that the information notified is true at the time of the complaint and that it falls within the scope of the Directive, and that, in addition, they have denounced through the channels provided by the Directive in the terms provided or that have disclosed information publicly in accordance with the provisions of the Directive.

Article 6 of the Directive
