The Anti-Fraud Office of Catalonia makes the Interactive Corruption Perception Barometer available to citizens, a data visualization tool that allows you to consult, compare and analyze the results of the different editions carried out between 2010 and 2024.
This space, developed with Power BI technology, facilitates the exploration of the Barometer's historical series and improves its accessibility, while promoting a clear, structured and reusable reading of the information.
The initiative is part of Anti-Fraud's commitment to transparency, open government and the active dissemination of public information, as well as the desire to promote the use of data in the analysis and understanding of social reality. In this sense, the new viewer also contributes to promoting practices linked to data journalism and accountability, facilitating access to relevant information for citizens, the academic world and communication professionals.
The Anti-Fraud Office is currently working on a new edition of the Barometer, corresponding to the year 2026, which will continue this series.
Instructions
You can interact with the data we offer you in the following ways:
- In selection filters, you can choose one or more options by holding down the “control” key, except for the 'Year' field where the checkbox is a round one and not a square one
- The result graphs act in real time, depending on the filter selection
- The clear button only works for filters, if there are selected elements in the graph they will remain active. To clear the selection double click on any element in the graph
Methodological note
- When interpreting the series of results, it is important to bear in mind the change in survey methodology, which, from 2022, will go from being telephone to being online (self-administered via an internet panel). For this reason, the comparison may be affected due to desirability bias. Likewise, in 2022 the sample will be expanded to the population residing in Catalonia with Spanish citizenship aged 16 and over. You can consult the conditions of the successive samples in the technical sheet published for each one.
- The answer options you will find correspond to the last wave. Keep this in mind when analyzing previous editions.
- You can check if the variations are statistically significant, for the different variables presented, by consulting the intersections in the data published in the statistical tables.
