The purpose of this action concerns a possible conflict of interest on the part of an elected official of the municipality in relation to the hiring of his company by the council, when it would be in a cause of prohibition to hire. The events date back to the period 2012-2016 and the Town Council would have stopped contracting this company in 2017. Given the age of the materialization of the payments made and the amount of the total amounts paid and also taking into account the legal limits in the ex officio review procedure, the filing of this action is agreed with a recommendation to the Town Council to take the appropriate measures to guarantee the effectiveness of compliance with the prohibitions to hire and be able to prevent and effectively detect conflicts of interest.
