The purpose of these actions has been to analyze the alleged breach of public sector contract regulations by the Town Council of Bagà due to a fractionation of different minor contracts with the aim of reducing the amount and, of this way, circumvent the advertising requirements or the corresponding award procedures. This practice would have benefited two companies with links to elected officials of the council. As a result of the investigative actions, enough irregularities were found to claim the full legal nullity of the contracts with the aforementioned companies to the council. The Town Council should initiate an ex officio review procedure for these contracts. There is also a conflict of interest in an elected position of the Town Council because he participates in the procurement procedures awarded to one of the aforementioned companies.
